Issue of ports and channels is problematic for Black Sea Region

PanARMENIAN.Net - Issue of ports and channels is one of the problems of the transport sphere of Black Sea Region,

Ara Nranyan , advisor in economy issues of ARF Dashnaktsutyun, member of the RA National Assembly, told a PanARMENIANNet reporter.



"Basically, we are not immediately involved, but we are also an interested part, since through neigbour countries using services of those ports," he explained.



In that context he added, that BSEC stick to the view, that although Turkish part recently tried to voice the problem of channels, nevertheless BSEC insist the initial principles of the organization.



"The Channels should be run under different conditions for all regional countries, and we believe, that Turkey must not have priorities, since the channels are not in its ownership, but belong to all regional countries, having a right to use those channels," he said.



In fact, after Romania and Bulgaria joined EU, they became EU bordering countries with other Black Sea area states, and their ports are experiencing boom. Currently, the issue of providing uninterrupted communication between those ports is topical, Ara Nranyan concluded.
