Armenian, Iranian forces complete joint drills![]() April 11, 2025 - 15:08 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Special forces from Armenia and Iran conducted joint exercises on April 9–10 aimed at strengthening border security. According to Iranian sources, which also released videos and photos from the event, the drills concluded successfully. The training involved both light and heavy weaponry, with exercises focused on enhancing border security, Factor.am reported. As part of the drills, the sniper skills of the special units were evaluated. The two-day training also included demolition operations, explosions, and fire support maneuvers on the Iranian side. The exercises were held in both countries: the Iranian component took place in the Norduz border area of East Azerbaijan province, while the Armenian units operated within the territory of the Republic of Armenia. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
