Malhas Amoyan reaches European Wrestling Championship finals

PanARMENIAN.Net - Malhas Amoyan, member of Armenia’s Greco-Roman wrestling team, has advanced to the final of the European Championship, aiming for his fourth career continental gold medal.

At the ongoing championship in Bratislava, Amoyan competed in the 77 kg semifinal against Hayk Mnatsakanyan, who represents Bulgaria. Amoyan secured victory with a score of 5:1, earning a place in the final, reports Armenpress.

Karen Aslanyan also reached the final in the 63 kg category. He faced Ukraine’s Andrii Semenchuk, dominating the bout with an 8:0 victory in just about two minutes.

Earlier in the 55 kg category, Manvel Khachatryan lost to his Azerbaijani opponent 1:5 but remains in contention for the bronze medal.

The finals will take place on April 12.
