Turkey to broadcast first-ever Armenian tv series![]() April 15, 2025 - 15:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - For the first time ever, an Armenian television series will be broadcast in Turkey. The Istanbul-based channel LuyS TV has announced it will soon air the series “4 Afacan Çocuk” (The Four Mischievous Kids), making it the first Armenian-language drama to be shown on Turkish television. According to Ermenihaber, the series will be in Armenian with Turkish subtitles. The channel shared the series announcement on X. LuyS TV was founded by Istanbul-Armenian journalist Aram Kuran. The television channel began broadcasting on January 6, 2019. Since its inception, 70% of its programming has been in Western Armenian, while the remaining 30% has consisted of Turkish-language broadcasts.
