New EU-Armenia platform promotes citizen awareness![]() April 15, 2025 - 19:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Vassilis Maragos, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, participated in the second working meeting of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) communication platform, held with representatives from both the European Union and Armenia. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination, exchanging experience, and enhancing effective communication on CEPA’s benefits for the Armenian population. “The communication platform plays a key role in helping citizens better understand the advantages of EU-Armenia cooperation—ranging from reforms to countering disinformation—contributing to building a stronger and more resilient Armenia,” read a statement from the EU Delegation in Armenia. On March 26, Armenia’s National Assembly passed a bill in its second and final reading to launch the process of EU accession. The Armenian government had approved the proposal on January 9, following an initiative by the civil movement Eurovote. However, the EU has yet to issue an official invitation for membership, and opposition parties have criticized the bill as legally unfounded. The law was signed by the President of Armenia. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
