Armenian, Chinese officials agree on enhancing dialogue![]() April 28, 2025 - 16:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 28, Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Li Xinwei. Safaryan congratulated the ambassador on his appointment, wishing him success in his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, and emphasized Armenia's readiness to provide necessary support. Both sides highlighted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, ties between Armenia and China have shown positive development, particularly emphasizing the importance of the traditional friendship between the two peoples. They agreed on the necessity to enhance political dialogue and promote broad cooperation in line with the interests of both countries. During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on regional developments and other issues of mutual interest. Previously, the Chargé d'Affaires at China’s embassy in Armenia was Chen Min, who replaced former Ambassador Fan Yong after his diplomatic mission ended in July 2024. Recently, China has signed strategic partnership agreements with neighboring Georgia and Azerbaijan. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
