RA PM, Estonian President discuss cooperation

PanARMENIAN.Net - On the second day of his official visit, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the presidential palace of the Republic of Estonia, where he met with Estonian President Alar Karis.

During the meeting, they discussed the progress of reforms in Armenia, particularly in the development of democratic institutions, governance, the economy, and the judiciary. Pashinyan highlighted the importance of Estonia’s support and experience-sharing in these areas.

The two leaders also addressed the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process. Pashinyan expressed appreciation for Estonia’s unwavering support for Armenia’s government efforts toward lasting peace and stability in the region, and for Estonia’s firm stance in defending Armenia’s territorial integrity.

Alar Karis welcomed the agreement reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding a peace treaty and expressed hope that it would be signed as soon as possible. The Estonian president reaffirmed his country's support for achieving lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

They also exchanged views on further developing and expanding Armenia-European Union relations.

During his official visit to Tallinn, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with representatives of the Armenian community in Estonia on the evening of April 27, where he discussed the ongoing talks and the future prospects for relations between the two countries.
