Henrikh Mkhitaryan: football has always been my happiness

PanARMENIAN.Net - Henrikh Mkhitaryan, midfielder for Inter Milan and former captain of the Armenian national team, has spoken about his deep connection to football and his experience playing for Armenia.

In an interview published on UEFA’s website, Mkhitaryan emphasized that he has always had a "burning desire to win, because for a country like Armenia, victory means everything."

"Since childhood, football has been my happiness," Mkhitaryan said.

"Football meant everything to me. I always had a smile on my face; I was happy. Today, I am the happiest person because I am doing what I loved as a child and still love today.

I have not played for my national team for four years, but whenever I did, I always brought a will to win, passion, and determination to every match because, for a country like Armenia, a victory was everything.

Being at a club is a little different, because there are many players from different countries, each trying to represent their homeland. I was one of them, doing the same, and I am proud that I represented Armenia in England, Italy, Germany, and Ukraine, wherever I played," Mkhitaryan stated.
