Number of women in childbirth increased by 17% in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - In 2008, the Armenian Healthcare Ministry launched its childbirth certificate project. AMD 4 billion 93 million was assigned from the state budget for the project. At that the number of women in childbirth increased by 17% in the republic.



"Woman can give birth to a child without paying any fee. The economic crisis will not affect this program. Medical workers do not differ those who pay and those who do not pay, since they receive bonuses supplementary to their high salary," said Ara Ter-Grigoryan, head if state healthcare agency.
