Georgian PM welcomes Armenia-Azerbaijan peace talks progress

PanARMENIAN.Net - During her two-day working visit to Tbilisi, Armenia’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan, met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

The parties emphasized the critical importance of achieving lasting peace in the South Caucasus. Kobakhidze welcomed the conclusion of negotiations on the text of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and expressed hope that it would be signed in the near future.

He reaffirmed Georgia's readiness to continue supporting dialogue and efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region.

The meeting also highlighted the strong neighborly and friendly ties between Armenia and Georgia, as well as the close and effective cooperation between their law enforcement agencies.

The meeting was also attended by Georgia’s Minister of Internal Affairs Gela Geladze and Armenia’s Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan.
