PanARMENIAN.Net - Pope Leo XIV has sent a letter to Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia, thanking him for the Catholicosate's delegation participating in the solemn Mass marking the beginning of his papacy.

"This is a tangible expression of Christian brotherhood and unity of faith," the Pope wrote, according to the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia.

Pope Leo also expressed his willingness to continue cooperation with His Holiness Aram I and other spiritual leaders, with the aim of fostering church unity and promoting coexistence and collaboration among peoples in a world increasingly marked by division.

On May 8, 2025, Leo XIV was elected the new Pope, becoming the first pontiff born in North America.
