Samvel Karapetyan confirmed to lead new political movement

PanARMENIAN.Net - Businessman Samvel Karapetyan will lead a newly forming political movement, according to his nephew Narek Karapetyan, a member of the board of directors of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA).

"The head of our team and political line will be Samvel Karapetyan, meaning we will move forward under his professional umbrella. All matters—economic, social, and foreign policy—will follow the path he outlines. The political force will be built on a foundation of professionalism," said Narek Karapetyan, as reported by Factor.am .

He emphasized that Samvel Karapetyan's background significantly differs from that of Armenia's previous leaders, pointing out that Karapetyan's path has been strictly economic.

On July 14, while held at the National Security Service detention center, Samvel Karapetyan announced the formation of a new political force. The businessman, who resides in Russia and owns the Tashir Group holding, became involved in Armenia’s domestic politics about a month ago, issuing a public address defending the church and labeling the ruling political faction a "clique."
