Armenia extradites extortion suspect to Uzbekistan![]() July 28, 2025 - 18:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan has approved an extradition request from Uzbekistan’s competent authority. A.A., accused of committing extortion on an especially large scale, was handed over to Uzbek authorities on July 25, 2025, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Stephan Schütz, Executive Partner at Gerkan, Marg and Partners.
