Foreign licenses valid for 90 days for citizens, dual nationals

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia has announced a new regulation allowing Armenian citizens and dual nationals holding foreign driver’s licenses to legally drive in Armenia for three months without penalties.

According to the ministry, the legislative amendment was initiated following research and public feedback. It aims to simplify and accommodate the procedure for citizens and dual citizens to drive vehicles in Armenia using a foreign license.

Starting August 2, individuals with Armenian or dual citizenship can legally drive a vehicle in Armenia for up to three months from the date of entry into the country using a foreign-issued driving license, without facing administrative penalties.

The same regulation also applies retroactively to those already in Armenia with a foreign driver’s license at the time the law takes effect.
