Divorce rate in Armenia climbs in first half of 2025![]() August 14, 2025 - 18:24 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During the first six months of 2025, Armenia registered 6,388 marriages and 2,352 divorces, according to data from the Statistical Committee, as reported by Panorama.am . This results in 368 divorces per 1,000 marriages—a notable increase compared to 294 during the same period in the previous year. Yerevan reported the highest number of divorces, followed by the regions of Kotayk, Armavir, and Ararat. April stood out as the month with the most recorded divorces. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
