Armenia registers 11% tourism boost in August

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan announced on Facebook that the country recorded another surge and a new record in tourist numbers for August.

“In August 2025, we once again saw a tourism increase and a record. Specifically, 300,919 tourists visited Armenia in August 2024, while the number rose to 334,396 in August 2025. This is an increase of 33,477 visitors, or +11.1%,” he wrote.

According to Papoyan, May, June, July, and August of 2025 have each set new monthly records for the highest number of tourists ever visiting Armenia during those months.

However, based on data published by the Statistical Committee in early September, a total of 907,135 tourists visited Armenia in the first half of 2025 — down from 946,162 in the same period of 2024, indicating an overall decrease year-over-year.
