Armenia, Mongolia sign protocol amending visa agreement![]() September 25, 2025 - 11:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 24, in New York, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg to discuss the expansion of bilateral ties and the implementation of concrete initiatives in areas of mutual interest. During the meeting, Mirzoyan and Battsetseg signed a protocol amending the agreement between the governments of Armenia and Mongolia on the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports. Mirzoyan emphasized Armenia’s readiness to further develop the legal framework for bilateral relations and fully utilize the potential for sectoral cooperation. The two ministers also exchanged views on cooperation within multilateral platforms, including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
