Mamijanyan insists street protests key to PM impeachment![]() September 26, 2025 - 16:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - At parliamentary hearings on the issue of impeaching Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Hayk Mamijanyan, head of the I Have Honor faction, stated that the Republican Party does not weigh whether initiatives are realistic or not; it simply fulfills its duty in ensuring Armenia’s security and salvation. He stressed that “without street struggle, the process of declaring no confidence in the prime minister cannot happen. It is a crucial component.” “We don’t first look at whether it will succeed or not and only then do our duty. Back in 2021, we all promised to remove Pashinyan, and we are doing everything to fulfill that promise,” Mamijanyan said, as cited by Pastinfo. He added that his faction has provided a platform for parliamentary and extra-parliamentary forces to search for practically feasible solutions. The National Assembly is currently discussing a draft statement on the national crisis and governance failures, introduced by the “I Have Honor” faction. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. Partner news |
