Filmmaker and TV host Tigran Keosayan dies at 59![]() September 26, 2025 - 16:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian-Armenian filmmaker and television host Tigran Keosayan has died at the age of 59, after months in a coma. His wife, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan, announced his passing on Telegram, writing: “Last night Tigran went to the Lord.” Keosayan suffered clinical death in early January and remained in a coma for nine months, according to RIA Novosti. He was best known as the director of the films Poor Sasha and Crimean Bridge. Keosayan also hosted the talk shows Evening with Tigran Keosayan and Enough Silence on REN TV, and more recently led the program International Saw, whose last broadcast aired on December 20. In addition, he hosted Friday with Tigran Keosayan on Sputnik Radio. Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out. The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest. She called on others to also suspend their accounts over the companies’ failure to tackle hate speech.
