Mirzoyan reaffirms Armenia’s support for UN goals![]() September 29, 2025 - 11:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met in New York with Annalena Baerbock, President of the United Nations General Assembly. During their meeting, the two discussed the UN’s role in the international system, the strengthening of multilateral cooperation, and the challenges currently facing this agenda. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized that in these difficult times for multilateral cooperation, Armenia continues to support the United Nations, its Charter’s fundamental principles, and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. Minister Mirzoyan and the General Assembly President highlighted the significance of the peace agreement preliminarily signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the arrangements reached through the trilateral declaration adopted in Washington. As part of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan also participated in the G20 ministerial meeting. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
