Armenia simplifies customs for personal imports from Oct 1![]() September 29, 2025 - 18:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The State Revenue Committee said it continues customs reforms aimed at improving convenience for citizens. Starting October 1, 2025, the entire process of customs clearance for personal-use goods imported into Armenia through freight companies will take place in one location — the service hall of the temporary storage facility where the goods are actually kept. Previously, before October 1, citizens had to follow a more complicated procedure: first visiting the customs warehouse where the goods were stored to collect documents from the freight forwarder, then going to the customs service hall at 10 Admiral Isakov Avenue in Yerevan for clearance, and finally returning to the warehouse to collect the goods. With the new system, citizens will no longer need to visit multiple places, as all customs procedures and collection will be handled at a single site. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision. Kerobyan has said that for the first time in the history of Armenia, the volume of foreign direct investments amounted to about $1 billion. Partner news |
