Armenian ambassador, Rep. Hamadeh discuss Washington Declaration![]() October 2, 2025 - 12:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 30, Armenia’s ambassador to the United States, Narek Mkrtchyan, met with Republican Congressman Abraham Hamadeh. The main focus of their discussion was the joint declaration signed in Washington on August 8 by the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the United States. The two also discussed the prospects for further development and deepening of the bilateral agenda. Mkrtchyan recently replaced Lilit Makunts as Armenia’s ambassador to the U.S. This was one of his first meetings with American officials. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
