Meta, Armenia discuss expanding AI, digital cooperation

PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 2, Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan hosted a delegation from Meta to discuss ways of deepening cooperation in the field of digital policy.

The talks centered on the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to promote societal and economic development, along with the importance of awareness programs aimed at enhancing online safety for children.

Both sides emphasized the need to continue and expand constructive dialogue between Armenia and Meta. They stressed the importance of holding regular meetings to jointly respond to emerging challenges in the digital ecosystem and to develop practical steps that will enhance resilience and promote trust on online platforms.

Minister Hayrapetyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with global tech leaders, underlining that such partnerships are key to implementing the country’s comprehensive digital transformation strategy.

Meta’s representatives, in turn, confirmed their readiness to continue the dialogue and share their expertise to support Armenia’s digital progress and the development of its AI ecosystem.

The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to jointly design future initiatives aimed at strengthening the stability of Armenia’s digital environment and fostering a safer and more innovative online space.
