Official accuses ex-president of despising the nation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Taron Chakhoyan, deputy head of the prime minister’s office, reacted sharply to former president Robert Kocharyan’s press conference, writing on Facebook that Kocharyan “hates the Armenian people.”

“Kocharyan hates the Armenian people, hates Armenia. He said it wasn’t pleasant to communicate with the people or travel across the country,” Chakhoyan wrote. “First he blamed Armenia for provoking war, then said it was unpleasant to interact with the population. What more can he say? He even admitted he doesn’t want to be involved in politics, but he’s being forced to. Robert Kocharyan, who usurped the presidency, is the disgrace of the Republic of Armenia.”

Kocharyan addressed both domestic and foreign policy issues during his October 7 press conference.
