Rubinyan confirms railway restoration on upcoming agenda

PanARMENIAN.Net - As part of the ongoing Armenian–Turkish normalization process, an interagency meeting is set to take place soon, announced Armenia’s special envoy Ruben Rubinyan, Factor.am reports.

Rubinyan stated that the upcoming meeting will focus on issues related to restoring the Gyumri–Kars railway. He did not specify the location of the meeting but promised details will be provided afterward.

He declined to comment on whether Turkish envoy Serdar Kılıç, who visited Yerevan on September 12, received entry or exit stamps in his passport.

The September visit marked Kılıç’s first trip to Yerevan since the launch of the normalization talks in 2021. He crossed the Armenian–Turkish border via the Margara checkpoint, where he was welcomed by Rubinyan.
