Prosecutor launches probe into Archbiship-related video![]() October 27, 2025 - 19:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Union of Informed Citizens NGO has submitted a report to Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the distribution of a video allegedly violating the privacy of Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, chancellor of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. This was confirmed by the Prosecutor General’s Office, AuroraNews reports. “Yes, we have received the report and proceeded in accordance with legal procedure,” the Prosecutor’s Office stated. On October 25, videos allegedly linked to Archbishop Khachatryan surfaced online. In response, several human rights defenders, legal experts, and civil organizations declared that the individual’s right to privacy and private life had been violated. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
