Ter-Petrosyan, french envoy discuss political tensions

PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 4, Armenia’s first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan hosted Olivier Decottignies, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia, at his residence. Among other topics, they discussed prospects for easing internal political tensions in Armenia. The meeting was reported by Ter-Petrosyan’s spokesperson Arman Musinyan on Facebook.

“During the approximately one-hour conversation, at the ambassador’s request, the president presented his views on deepening Armenian-French relations, prospects for reducing political tensions in Armenia, as well as regional developments,” the post reads.

The meeting was also attended by Julie Fort, First Secretary of the French Embassy, and Avetis Avagyan, Chief of Staff of the First President’s Office.
