Armenia, Russia explore new opportunities in trade, tourism

PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 21, Armenia’s Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with a Russian delegation led by Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral economic relations.

The meeting covered a broad range of topics aimed at boosting trade turnover between the two countries. Specific attention was given to cooperation in the agro-industrial sector, ensuring uninterrupted agricultural exports, establishing joint enterprises, and exchanging expertise in the field of phytosanitary standards.

Tourism was also highlighted as a particularly promising area for further collaboration.

Earlier, Papoyan reported that Armenia’s gross domestic product grew by 6.2% in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
