Armenian Airlines regains operator certificate

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Civil Aviation Committee has reinstated the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) of Armenian Airlines, according to a statement on the committee’s official website.

The AOC is a mandatory document for any airline seeking to operate commercial flights.

Under certification regulations, a carrier must own, lease, or have an agreement to acquire at least one airworthy aircraft in order to receive or maintain an AOC. Armenian Airlines had no such aircraft since spring 2025, prompting the Civil Aviation Committee to suspend the certificate for six months.

The certificate, once restored, remains valid until October 2040.

The AOC was initially suspended on May 6, 2025.
