Task forces to tackle air pollution, traffic in Yerevan![]() November 28, 2025 - 12:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during the November 27 cabinet meeting that task forces will be formed to address air pollution and traffic congestion in Yerevan. He noted that recent observations, both online and through the media, as well as personal experience, have revealed persistent problems, leading to the conclusion that two task forces must be created by prime ministerial order. “I instruct the staff to present proposals regarding individual members. One group will focus on air pollution. First, we must acknowledge the issue as a priority, understand it, and offer concrete solutions,” said Pashinyan. The second group will be tasked with traffic management and alleviating congestion, working in a coordinated manner to develop systemic solutions. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
