OSCE Minsk Group officially terminated![]() December 1, 2025 - 15:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has finalized the process of dissolving the Minsk Group and associated mechanisms, based on a joint request by Armenia and Azerbaijan, the OSCE Secretariat announced at 23:59 on November 30, reports Armenpress. According to the statement, the decision was based on a joint appeal submitted by Armenia and Azerbaijan to the Finnish OSCE Chairmanship. “All necessary administrative procedures have been implemented, bringing the closure process to completion. This action fulfills the consensus decision of all 57 OSCE participating States made on September 1, following the historic joint declaration signed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Washington on August 8, 2025, in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump,” the statement read. On August 8, Armenia and Azerbaijan signed a joint appeal to the OSCE in Washington, seeking the dissolution of the Minsk Group. The request included the termination of three structures: the Minsk Group itself, the post of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, and the High-Level Planning Group. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
