Kallas says Russia expands meddling in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has warned that Russia is “expanding and accelerating its disinformation operations in Armenia.”

Speaking at an emergency session of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Kallas said, “Russia and its proxies are broadening and speeding up their disinformation campaign, including in Armenia, in the run-up to next year’s elections,” as reported by Factor.am .

She noted that this year, Moldova had been “the primary target of similar Russian disinformation efforts.”

Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 2026.
