Аrmenian Patriarch meets aid groups in Istanbul

PanARMENIAN.Net - To better address the rising economic difficulties and poverty within Turkey’s Armenian community, Patriarch Sahak II of Constantinople met with representatives of associations and volunteer initiatives involved in public and social aid, Ermenihaber reports.

Attendees included the “Hope” association, the “Our Armenians” group, the “Friendship” collective, as well as individuals such as Aslan Gyuner, Herman Gavafyan (Chairman of the Patriarchate’s Social Aid Commission, PSYK), and the commission’s secretary, Marta Joslin Tınçkayıkçı.

Following a previous consultation with church-affiliated charities a month ago, this meeting aimed to deepen mutual ties and create sustainable cooperation models to strengthen social solidarity.
