Never before has Armenia’s senior team secured five semifinal spots and guaranteed five medals at a world championship,” the statement said. On December 11, at 16:00 local time, Artur Bazeyan, Hovhannes Bachkov, Rafael Hovhannisyan, and Davit Chaloyan will enter the ring in the first session. Rudolf Garboyan will compete later at 21:00. The ongoing tournament in Dubai has already seen Armenia’s team deliver a record performance, with nine athletes reaching the quarterfinals. Armenia’s Narek Manasyan (92kg) won Armenia’s second silver medal at the European Boxing Championships 2024 on April 28. Armenian gymnast, Olympic bronze medalist Artur Davtyan has reached the finals of the World Cup. Gor Manvelyan has denied reports alleging that he has expressed a desire to one day play for the French national team.
