Sargsyan: EU turns blind eye to Armenia’s situation![]() December 11, 2025 - 18:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s third President Serzh Sargsyan told reporters that it is no longer a secret that the European Union is turning a blind eye to the actions of Armenia’s current leadership. “It’s no secret to us that the EU has closed its eyes, and whatever they [the Armenian authorities] do, it will go unchallenged,” he said, according to Auroranews.am . Earlier, Marta Kos, EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, stated that the European Union is ready to support Armenia ahead of the 2026 parliamentary elections by helping the country resist potential hybrid threats and strengthen cybersecurity. According to the EU Commissioner, the Union is prepared to allocate €12 million to help Armenia effectively counter such hybrid attacks that may emerge in the lead-up to the elections. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
