ARFD holds talks with other political forces

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ishkhan Saghatelyan, MP and member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Supreme Body, announced on Facebook that a series of consultations with political forces took place last week. Meetings were held with leaders of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), the Freedom Party, the Homeland Party, as well as with civic figures, human rights advocates, and lawyers.

The talks focused on the possibility of cooperation around a number of key agenda items.

“There is a shared understanding on fundamental issues. Discussions with political and civil society actors will continue,” Saghatelyan wrote.

He reminded that during parliamentary hearings, political parties were invited to launch discussions on the following issues:

  • Counteracting repression, political persecution, and restrictions on freedoms through legal means
  • Defending the Armenian Apostolic Church and national values
  • Protecting the rights of political prisoners, under the principle that any political prisoner is a concern for all
  • Ensuring the legality and oversight of electoral processes
  • Avoiding mutual political smear campaigns
  • Rejecting any form of cooperation with the current regime, including post-election cooperation

Armenia's next parliamentary elections are scheduled for June 2026.
