Karabakh process should not go parallel to normalization of Armenian-Turkish relationsJune 15, 2009 - 19:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will pay a high price for the mistakes of the leadership, whose foreign policy experts failed to prevent involvement into the hazardous game launched by Turkey and Azerbaijan, with U.S. and Israel's support, New Times party leader Aram Karapetyan said."I was informed by reliable sources that in late 2008 head of the Azerbaijani President's administration summoned governors of the country's regions and instructed them to imitate a policy of negativism against Turkey," he told a press conference in Yerevan today. "Calling for simultaneous resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations, Azerbaijan and Turkey want to kill two birds with one stone," he said, adding that the two processes are separate and should by no means viewed as a whole. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
