Pashinyan stresses NATO ties in meeting with Šekerinska![]() December 18, 2025 - 18:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met in Yerevan with NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Šekerinska to discuss issues related to Armenia–NATO partnership and prospects for its further development. Pashinyan said that Armenia places great importance on cooperating with international partners, including NATO, to advance a regional agenda of security and stability. Šekerinska praised the partnership with Armenia and thanked the Prime Minister for hosting NATO-accredited ambassadors, noting the meeting as engaging and productive. The discussion also covered the Washington Declaration signed on August 8 between Armenia and Azerbaijan and subsequent developments. Both parties exchanged views on efforts to open regional connectivity, particularly the TRIPP and Crossroads of Peace initiatives. Other topics of mutual interest were also addressed during the meeting. NATO’s Deputy Secretary General is on a regional tour and is also scheduled to visit Baku. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
