Pashinyan, Putin hold private meeting in Saint Petersburg![]() December 22, 2025 - 18:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian President Vladimir Putin held a private meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Saint Petersburg, according to RIA Novosti. No additional information about the conversation was provided. Pashinyan had traveled to Russia to attend the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council session, as well as the informal summit of CIS leaders, which traditionally takes place in the final days of December in Saint Petersburg. Their previous bilateral talks took place in September 2025 at the Kremlin, when Pashinyan was in Moscow for the Global Atomic Forum alongside other international delegates. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
