Vagif Khachatryan hospitalized in Baku, condition critical

PanARMENIAN.Net - Vagif Khachatryan, a 70-year-old Armenian citizen imprisoned by Azerbaijan for 15 years, was hospitalized after his health deteriorated sharply on December 22 during a court hearing in Baku related to what has been described as a fabricated case. He experienced respiratory distress and chest pain, according to APA.

Initial medical assistance was provided by doctors from the Medical Department of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Justice. He was then urgently transferred to a medical facility under the same ministry, where he received intensive therapy and resuscitation measures.

However, due to a lack of significant improvement in his condition, Khachatryan was moved to a state-run medical institution to receive higher-quality treatment, the report states.

His condition is reported as critical, and intensive medical care is ongoing.
