Former SRC deputy chairman arrested

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Anti-Corruption Committee has arrested former State Revenue Committee deputy chairman Vakhtang Mirumyan within the framework of a criminal case involving alleged abuse of official authority.

The Anti-Corruption Committee told Armenpress that, as part of the criminal proceedings being investigated against a former high-ranking official of the State Revenue Committee, another former senior SRC official has been arrested on charges of abuse of office.

“Due to the interests of the preliminary investigation, we cannot provide additional details at this time,” the Anti-Corruption Committee said.

Vakhtang Mirumyan served as deputy chairman of the State Revenue Committee from March 2016 until May 2018.

Earlier, on August 8, 2025, the Anti-Corruption Committee reported that former SRC chairman Vardan Harutyunyan had been arrested on charges of illegal participation in entrepreneurial activity, anti-competitive practices, and money laundering. According to media reports, Harutyunyan was detained within the framework of a criminal case related to the company “Norfolk.”
