Babajanyan says U.S. Vice President Vance to visit Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is expected to receive a high-level U.S. visit in February 2026, according to politician Arman Babajanyan.

For the Republic party chairman Arman Babajanyan wrote on his Facebook page that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance will visit Armenia in February 2026.

“This is not just a routine high-level visit; it proves that Washington is rapidly moving to implement the agreements reached on August 8.

Such visits are valuable for their concreteness. Armenia must come forward with a clear, measurable package.

First, investment projects for TRIPP infrastructure: roads, logistics hubs, storage facilities, cargo transportation, insurance, service economies, and more.

Second, rapid modernization of border and customs capacities: anti-smuggling systems, full digitalization, cyber protection, and cargo traceability.

Third, legal guarantees: transparent contracts, independent oversight, risk prevention, and balanced protection of investor and state interests.

American engagement is an opportunity to turn Armenia into a hub of connectivity, trust, and security. This can be achieved through discipline, professionalism, and concrete protection of state interests.

The main outcome of the U.S. vice president’s visit should not only be the launch of programs, but also a message that must first reach Armenia’s citizens: our independence and sovereignty are not merely declared ideas, but a defended strategic choice. Including through the United States, this choice has real partners, tools, and measurable support to build security, investment, and sustainable development,” Babajanyan wrote.

Earlier, political analyst Suren Sargsyan said that, according to his information, a very high-ranking U.S. official is expected to visit Armenia at the beginning of the year, without naming a specific person.
