AMD 50mln for Spandaryan Canal reconstruction

PanARMENIAN.Net - Evocabank has joined the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s 2025 fundraising campaign and donated AMD 50 million to the Spandaryan Canal reconstruction project in Syunik Province.

The donation made by the bank will be directed toward restoring the damaged sections of the Spandaryan Canal, which will make it possible to restore the irrigation system and ensure water accessibility for a number of communities in the Syunik region. The project aims to ensure water security, stimulate agricultural production, and create conditions for sustainable economic development in the area. As a result of the donation, 730 families (4,320 residents) in the settlements of Sarnakunk, Ishkhanasar, Tsghuk, Spandaryan, Angeghakot, and Shaki will become direct beneficiaries, and approximately 2,800 hectares of land will be provided with efficient irrigation.
