Cashback system approved for ArCa cardholders![]() December 26, 2025 - 17:35 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian government has approved a cashback program for individual users making non-cash purchases via ArCa cards, operated by the Armenian Card company. The program and its regulations were presented by Deputy Finance Minister Edgar Mkrtchyan, Armenpress reports. According to Mkrtchyan, starting January 1, 2026, citizens will receive 2% cashback on each eligible transaction. “One percent will be covered by the government and one percent by Armenian Card. The refund will be transferred by the 25th of the following month. Transactions must exceed 1,000 AMD, with a maximum refund of 6,000 AMD per transaction and a monthly limit of 60,000 AMD per person. The program applies exclusively to ArCa cards,” he said. Certain categories are excluded from the program, including telecommunications services, utility payments, payments to state and municipal budgets, as well as spending related to casinos, gambling, crypto-assets, and the trade of precious metals and stones. Mkrtchyan also noted that individuals can apply for and obtain ArCa cards, and that co-branded cards currently under consideration will also be included in the cashback system once available. According to the latest data, there are now 500,000 ArCa cards in circulation in Armenia. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”.
