Azerbaijan sends new batch of fuel to Armenia![]() January 12, 2026 - 12:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A new batch of petroleum products from Azerbaijan has been sent to Armenia. According to APA, an 18-wagon train carrying 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline departed from the Balajari station. The fuel will be delivered to Armenia via Georgia. Earlier, on January 9, a larger shipment consisting of 48 wagons and totaling 2,698 tons was sent from Balajari, including 1,742 tons of AI-95 gasoline and 956 tons of diesel fuel. Prior to that, on December 18, Armenia received 1,220 tons of AI-95 gasoline. Previously, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan addressed the issue of Azerbaijani fuel imports, stating: “As far as I understand, purchasing this fuel is very beneficial for Armenian citizens. I’ve seen boycott calls, but I’ve also heard there are lines for this gasoline.” When asked why Azerbaijan is selling cheap gasoline to Armenia, Mirzoyan responded: “Because peace has been established, cooperation should develop, Azerbaijani and Turkish cargo must pass through our territory, and оurs should pass through theirs.” The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
