Papikyan: no separate military-level talks with Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan told a press conference that there are currently no separate communications between the defense ministries of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The question followed reports of recent political and expert-level contacts between various agencies of the two countries. Responding to this, Papikyan told Radar Armenia:

“There are no direct contacts between the defense ministries at this time. When there is something new, we’ll speak about it. At the moment, I have nothing further to say.”

He also emphasized that the presence of Azerbaijani troops on Armenian territory should be addressed within the framework of the border delimitation commission.

Earlier, Papikyan stated Armenia has no intention of entering an arms race with Azerbaijan or any other country.
