Yerevan, Astana explore trade cooperation opportunities![]() January 19, 2026 - 11:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Armenia, Bolat Imanbayev, to discuss various aspects of Armenia–Kazakhstan bilateral relations, with a particular focus on expanding cooperation in trade and the economy. Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest and readiness to promote the stable and sustained development of friendly relations between the two countries. Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu in New York, stating: “We attach special importance to cooperation with Kazakhstan not only bilaterally but also within the broader context of strengthening regional connectivity. Developing transport and business ties is a top priority on our agenda.” Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
