Armenian parliament speaker to visit Russia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan has announced plans for an official visit to Russia, intended as a reciprocal move following Russian Federation Council Chair Valentina Matviyenko’s visit to Armenia.

“I am preparing for a visit to the Russian Federation; I have received an invitation for a reciprocal trip. My counterpart Matviyenko was here, and now I’ve been invited for a return visit,” he said, according to Radar Armenia.

The exact dates of the visit have not yet been finalized.

Valentina Matviyenko visited Armenia in June 2025. Together with Alen Simonyan, she opened the 39th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Federal Assembly of Russia and the National Assembly of Armenia.
