Iranian carriers cancel Yerevan-bound flights

PanARMENIAN.Net - On January 19, two Tehran–Yerevan flights scheduled to operate were canceled. Armenia’s Civil Aviation Committee reported that the flights were to be operated by Iranian airlines Qeshm Air and Caspian Airlines.

Both cancellations were initiated by the Iranian carriers, though no reasons have been provided.

Iranian authorities have recently confirmed that approximately 5,000 people were killed during protests, according to Reuters. Around 500 were reported to be security personnel. A government spokesperson blamed the deaths of innocent Iranians on terrorists and armed insurgents.
