Khachaturyan thanks Finland for support in peace efforts

PanARMENIAN.Net - During the World Economic Forum in Davos, President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan met with President of Finland Alexander Stubb to discuss regional issues. Khachaturyan expressed gratitude to his Finnish counterpart for Finland’s longstanding and consistent support for peace efforts in Armenia and the wider region.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of fostering stability, peace, and joint action.

The agenda also included the Crossroads of Peace initiative and the TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) project. The two sides noted that these communication-oriented programs promote connectivity and serve the interests of both the region and the international community.

The presidents paid special attention to deepening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation within the European Union framework.

They highlighted the significance of engagement with Finland through the Northern Europe–Baltic (NB8) format, viewing it as an effective platform for political dialogue and sectoral collaboration.

Khachaturyan praised Finland’s successful experience in several fields, especially in public education, and emphasized the potential of applying these best practices in Armenia.

At the end of the meeting, Khachaturyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to democratic values and principles, stressing the country’s continued reform efforts.
